Hi Brenda and precious Buster. I wanted to stop by and say Hello and hope all is well with you. Although i don't come to Critters often, as the shelter seems to take up all of my time, when i do come i have to say, i miss the days when you were here. How are the babies and Spencer doing? I hope all is well.

We miss and love our dear friends, Brenda and sweet Buster baby. Dollie and daddy.. ;)

The countless, caring ways

"How long will the pain last?"
A broken-hearted mourner asked me.
"All the rest of your Life,"
I have to answer truthfully.

We never quite forget.
No matter how many years pass, we remember.
The loss of a loved one is like a major operation.
Part of us is removed, and we have a scar
For the rest of our lives.

As years go by, we manage.
There are things to do, things to care for,
Tasks that call for full attention.
But the pain is still there, not far below the surface.

We see a dog or a cat that looks familiar,
Hear a voice that echoes,
See a photograph we put away,
See a landscape that once we saw together,
And it seems as though
A knife were in the wound again.

But not so painfully,
And mixed with joy, too,
Because remembering a happy time is not all sorrow;
It brings back some happiness with it, too.

How long will the pain last?
"All the rest of your life."
But the thing to remember
Is that not only will the pain last,
But the blessed memories as well.

Tears are proof of life;
The more love, the more tears.
If this be true, then how could we ever ask
That the pain cease altogether?
For then the memory of love would go with it.
The pain of grief is the price we pay for love.

Our Special Angel

God chose a special Angel
when he took your paw in his…
He ended all your suffering
with sorrows own sweet kiss…

You worried about our welfare,
so you lingered a few nights more…
Assuring yourself that we would be fine
before you entered Heaven’s door…

The angels said, “We will be waiting here”,
“Just lets us know when you are ready”…
Your soul whispered back, “I cannot leave yet”,
“I am not sure their hearts are steady”…

On the shores of both heave and earth,
stood loved ones from past and present…
Your heart was literally torn in half
having to choose between your deeper sentiment…

Seeing the conflict in your eyes,
we knew what must be done…
In all of our agony, we failed to realize,
that we were being the selfish ones…

So, in one final selfless act,
we told you to take God’s paw…
So that together, you and he
could cross over to the promise land…

In one final breath filled with
your passion so deep and true…
You took God’s hand and left behind
all of those who truly adored you…

Our only solace is knowing,
that now you are free of pain…
And when God comes to take our hands
that he will lead us back to you again…

No Goodbyes
I am standing right beside you
And I wonder why you cry,
I see such pain and sorrow
I see the hurt that's in your eyes.
Do not wish me back for one last kiss
Please don't wait for me to wake,
Just know how much I love you
I wish no longer your heart to ache.

The tough times together we'll see.
So to my friends I bid you

Hello my little boy i just want to tell you i love you always and miss you so much

As years pass by, and others rarely mention my name,
remember me with love.

take a moment to say my name out loud.
If tears fall, let them.
Wherever you are, know that I am.
I live in your heart, mind and soul.
Don't worry, you will never forget me
and we will be together again.
I have taught you many things
in a way nothing else possibly could.
Don't waste this lesson,
use the love you still have to give to others.
Comfort others who have had a loss, do it in my memory.
A little bit of me, lives on in each person you touch.
You have the power to make my legacy,
one that I would be proud of.
Light a candle, buy a rose, perform an act of kindness.
Our love is so great,
no remembrance could ever be large enough
to show how much you love me,
for true love has no boundaries.
And don't forget, I love you too.
Look at a puffy cloud, flower or bird and have no doubt;
my angel spirit is.

I found a penny today
just laying on the ground
But it’s not just a penny
this little coin I’ve found

“Found” pennies come from heaven
that’s what my Grandpa told me
He said angels toss them down
oh, how I loved that story

He said when an angel misses you
they toss a penny down
Sometimes just to cheer you up
make a smile out of your frown

So don’t pass by that penny
when you’re feeling blue
It may be a penny from heaven
that an angel tossed to you

A Dogs Soul

Every dog must have a soul
Somewhere deep inside
Where all his hurts and grievances
Are buried with his pride.
Where he decides the good and bad,
The wrong way from the right,
And where his judgement carefully
Is hidden from our sight.
A dog must have a secret place
Where every thought abides,
A sort of close acquaintance that
He trusts in and confides.
And when accused unjustly for
Himself, He cannot speak,
Rebuked, He finds within his soul
The comfort he must seek.
He'll love, tho'he is unloved,
And he'll serve tho'badly used,
And one kind word will wipe away
The times when he's abused.
Altho' his heart may break in two
His love will still be whole,
Because God gave to every dog
An understanding Soul!

I'm right here in your Heart

When tomorrow starts without me, and I'm not there to see.
If the sun should rise and find your eyes, all filled
with tears for me; I wish so much you wouldn't cry,
the way you did today, While thinking of the many
things we didn't get to say, I know how much you love me,
As much as I love you. And each time that you think of me,

But today will always last, and since each day's the same day,
There's no longing for the past. But you have been so faithful,
So trusting and so true, Though there were times you did some
things, you know you shouldn't do.

DOGS WHO'VE SHARED OUR LIVES

Like the majestic rose,
A love goes to full bloom,
But like the precious rose,
Oft' times it's set for doom.

The rose fades in its delicate beauty,
Like the life you had planned,
Falling apart like the rose,
Dropping petals in the sand.

The rose cannot maintain,
The beauty it once knew,
The love you cultivated,
Chose to be away from you.

The rose slowly droops,
It falls and its beauty is gone,
Just as the love has disappeared,
From the unity of your home.

You can pick up the petals,
Tho' it is useless to try and replace,
Just as holding on to a love,
That has raveled and became unlaced.

The rose has died and lives no more,
To bloom and show it's pride,
Just as the one you love has succumbed,
To the enticement of life's loveless tide.

As it sweeps back into the sea of life,
All that you have grown to love,
It will again wash life's shores,
With the cleansing powers from above.

Love may be lost, but life remains,

The rose may be quite different,

Brenda and Buster .... HAPPY EASTER to you. May your day be a beautiful day today. We are having sunshine and lots of wind .. but no more snow .....

Brenda, this Thursday will be Sammy's Second-Year Angelversary .. as much as I don't want it to come .. it will .. but I do know he is happy and restored to health.

I will also be going through major dental surgery on that day .. and my baby boy Xander being neutered .. so please keep me and Xander in your prayers on that day.

Hello my little Busterbaby i love you more that words can ever say, your big brother Spencer is doing so well you would be so proud of him he's always talking about you and i now he misses you so much but i do tell him you are with all your beautiful furfriends in heaven, i hope you have had lots and lots of choclate Easter Eggs, you are always in my heart and no one will ever take that away,

Easter is a special time, a joyful holiday a time to join with family to pray .
Easter comes with baskets and with baskets and with Easter eggs galore,
and Easter cards the handmade kind that moms and dads adore.
Easter brings a new spring dress with lace and ribbons on it,
and fancy hats with frills beginning to appear.
Babies too of every kind arrived this time each year.
Fluffy,yellow ,chirping chicks come popping out of eggs,
and woolly lamb come tottering on thin,unsteady legs.
As springs fresh breezes chase away the winters ice
and show heaven’s gentle showers help the Easter flowers grow.
The wet world welcomes springs soft showers, and once the clouds move
and the rain drys slowly dries like the day slowly drowns to darkness.
Gods love blooms in hearts again, as flowers do each spring.
And we reach out with tenderness to every living.
At Easter let us celebrate the wonders of our Earth,
and thank God for the gift of life and promise or rebirth.
