Ms Bambi

In loving memory of our Bambi who we love so much. Bambi will be greatly missed and be in our hearts forever.

Bambi was one of sweetest loving dogs you can imagine. She just wanted to be center of attention and love.  She came into my sister's life as a little baby.  She had this short stubby tail and floppy ears.  That look made her unique. She will be missed by her entire family forever,  pets in our family become one of us and are loved the same.  I will share stories, photos and her journey over the rainbow.  Rest in peace our sweet precious Bambi.  Your absence weighs heavy on our hearts.

Sweet Bambi

My sweet Bambi.... it has been 24 hours since they put you to sleep.  I feel like it has been but a minute since I seen you charge into house so you could choose your favorite place to lay before other two dogs came in. It seems so unfair that you got so sick so fast. My heart is heavy,  and my heart hurts. I will try to write some of our fun memories of you,  but for now we just hurt.

In Our Hearts
We thought of you today,
But that is nothing new.
We thought about you yesterday,
And days before that too.
We think of you in silence,
We often speak your name.
Now all we have is memories,
And your picture in a frame.
Your memory is our keepsake,
With which we'll never part.
God has you in his keeping,
We have you in our heart.

The Rainbow BridgeInspired by a Norse legend, a poem by Steve and Diane Bodofsky

By the edge of a woods, at the foot of a hill,
Is a lush, green meadow where time stands still.
Where the friends of man and woman do run,
When their time on earth is over and done.
For here, between this world and the next,
Is a place where each beloved creature finds rest.
On this golden land, they wait and they play,
Till the Rainbow Bridge they cross over one day.
No more do they suffer, in pain or in sadness,
For here they are whole, their lives filled with gladness.
Their limbs are restored, their health renewed,
Their bodies have healed, with strength imbued.
They romp through the grass, without even a care,
Until one day they start, and sniff at the air.
All ears prick forward, eyes dart front and back,
Then all of a sudden, one breaks from the pack.
For just at that instant, their eyes have met;
Together again, both person and pet.
So they run to each other, these friends from long past,
The time of their parting is over at last.
The sadness they felt while they were apart,
Has turned into joy once more in each heart.
They embrace with a love that will last forever,
And then, side-by-side, they cross over… together.

Pawprints Left By You
You no longer greet me,
As I walk through the door.
You're not there to make me smile,
To make me laugh anymore.
Life seems quiet without you,
You were far more than a pet.
You were a family member, a friend
. . . a loving soul I'll never forget.
It will take time to heal -
For the silence to go away.
I still listen for you,
And miss you every day.
You were such a great companion,
Constant, loyal and true.
My heart will always wear,
the pawprints left by you.

Bambi your human mama got your ashes tonight, so reality sets in and it is hard in life without your best friend. We all miss you so much, and it really is not the same without you. I have such a heavy heart hoping when I took care of you that I did a good job. I hope you were happy. Goodbye Bambi With heavy hearts; and a tear in our eyes after all these years; we must say goodbye Please understand; we've done all we could if there was anything we could do; you know we would I'm sitting right here; gently rub your ears while I talk to you softly; trying to hold back the tears The memories you gave us; we'll never forget especially the ones; of the day we all met One last hug; and one last kiss you have no idea; how much you'll be missed To look into your eyes; this one last time you tell me it's ok; you know it's your time Close your eyes now; and go to sleep we'll pray to the Lord; you're soul he'll keep Go in peace now; our good friend we'll stay right here with you; until the end Dream of that special day and time when we'll meet at the Bridge; and all will be fine We'll run and play; side by side with a soft warm feeling; deep down inside Your memory will live on; in each one of us you'll always be number 1; to all of us Have a safe journey; through the night I promise when you awake; you'll be in God's light So with heavy hearts; and tears in our eyes just for now my friend; we say goodbye

It has been a little over five weeks since you had to be put to sleep, but it feels like I just sat next to you the other day. You would make me laugh even when life seemed to be nothing but a series of let downs. Thank you for bringing us joy and laughs for nine years. I Only Wanted You They say memories are golden well maybe that is true. I never wanted memories, I only wanted you. A million times I needed you, a million times I cried. If love alone could have saved you you never would have died. In life I loved you dearly, in death I love you still. In my heart you hold a place no one could ever fill. If tears could build a stairway and heartache make a lane, I'd walk the path to heaven and bring you back again. Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same. But as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.

As time goes by I won't forget, That you were my beloved pet. You made me happy when I was sad And just for that I'm very glad. God took you to his home in the sky. I miss you son but please don't cry. Although my heart is broken in two, One day I'll come and be with you. I don't know when, but when I do, I will come and cuddle you. I think about you everyday. My heart will never feel the same way. Until we meet again some day, Together forever and never apart, You'll be forever in my heart. Always thinking of you, never forgotten,

Ok so now what

Warm light coming from far below, Twinkling, sparkling is the candle's glow. All is well up on the ridge, The place we know as Rainbow Bridge. Fur babies sleeping in heaven's light, Tended by candles in the night. Peaceful dreams be theirs to keep, As they slumber in this night so deep. Hearts on earth that miss them so, Take comfort in the candle's glow. Watching for them in skies above, Bound eternally by a cord of love.
