In loving memory of my Piper who I love so much. Piper will be greatly missed and be in my heart forever. I feel as though I have not only lost my furry little girl, but my very best (furry) friend who was there for me for the last 11 months...rain or shine...through good times and bad...you were always there for me! All those days you would trip me when I walked in the door....looking in shopping bags for your peanut butter cookies....I swear I still hear you banging that tail around through the kitchen. Those silly little things you did are the things I miss most of all. We had just lost our kitty Jake 2 weeks before and I know you were missing him as much as we were. I pray you and him are together once again.
Piper was born on 4/21/06 Mother: Maggie May
Father: Brandon Million Dollar Buddy Piper was born into a litter of 5 pups....she was the 4th one to be born at 8pm. Due to an infection that over came Maggie & the pups, Piper lost 1 brother and 1 sister. She fought those few early days... to sick to get her tail docked, with infections.... through seizures...but with extra extra love and countless sleepless nights all those handfeeding paid off and she, her brother Ben and sister Rut beat all odds!! At 8 weeks, we knew we were going to have to tell the pups goodbye so that they could go to new owners. I couldn't let Piper go, so I kept her.
Piper and I were on our way to the Vet on Tuesday March 13th, 2007 for a checkup for what I thought was a cold. By the time we got there, she had become to sick to move. They did everything they could, even bring her back once from a heart attack, but in the end...I lost my little girl due to Boxer Cardiomyopathy. No words could ever explain the pain I feel right now! I put on a happy face and smile through the tears at work but once I get home...the pain is more then I can bear. I miss you Piper! Monday March 19th, 2007...I will start one of VERY many "THE MONDAY CANDLE CEREMONY" (http://www.petloss.com/ceremony.htm) I will light a Peanut Butter scented candle for you Piper!
