My best friend

In loving memory of our Mama Kitty who we love so much. Mama Kitty will be greatly missed and be in our hearts forever.

Her paw prints the day she passed.

I had my cat for many years. I was 8 yrs old when I got her and I was 27 when I lost her. She was my best friend. I miss her so much. She was more than a pet, she was like my kid. We did everything together. I love you Mama-Kitty! I will never have another cat, she can never be replaced. Every night she curled up with me. When I was sad she would know, when I walked in my house she would greet me. She never hurt me, she was always loyal. She would sit and watch my kids when they were babies. She would come get me if they were crying. She was always a mother to everything.

My husband putting her to rest

My husband and I took her to the vets office and we had to have her put to sleep. I stayed the entire time, she rested her paw on my hand letting me now that she would be ok. She knew what was to come, so she was giving me the strenghth I needed. My husband stayed and held me up as i started to cry. Her eyes closed and she seemed to have rested easy. She didnt look as bad as before. I picked her up and gave her a kiss and carried her in my arms to my car. When we got home, i pet her and told her good bye and wrapped her up in a blanket and put her in a box, along with her toys, and a guardian angel of cats. My husband sealed her box and put an angel outside of it and some flowers. It was so hard. My best friend wait for me at the Rianbow Bridge and we can cross it together. I will come back to you and we shall be together again!

Rainbow Bridge

The Rainbow Bridge

There is a bridge connecting heaven and earth, a space

and place in time known as Rainbow Bridge. They say.

Just this side is a land of green meadows, rolling hills and

valleys covered with lush grass and beautiful flowers.

And it's here that all creatures big and small come to play

when their days are done. At Rainbow Bridge, even the old

and frail are young again. They say.

Then one day, from out of the blue, an animal will break

away from the pack and look back. Ears perked, tail wagging,

                        nose twitching.

You have been seen. You take your pal in your

arms and embrace. Your face is kissed again and again and

you look once more into the eyes of your trusting pet.

Then the two of you cross Rainbow Bridge together, never

                        again to be seperated.

My Girl!

I found Mam Kitty when she was only 4 weeks old. I had found her at an old abandoned store. She was one of about 7 kittens. She was the only one that would come to me.  I took her home and asked my Mom if I could keep her. My Mom said sure but she was my responsibility. I had to learn to hand feed her milk as she was too young for kitten food. I had named her SnowBall originally. As time had went on, she keep having babies. Well one of her kittens had kittens and the mother wouldn't nurse them, so Grandma - ( Mama Kitty ) jumped in there and nursed and cared for her grand babies. We finally decided she had enough babies and we needed to get her spayed. We then dubed her Mam Kitty for all the babies she had and for taking care of her grand babies. As more time went on my cat went from 21 pounds to a mere 6 pounds. I woke up one day and she was crying and barely moving around. She climbed on to my lap and just looked at me. Her breathing was labored and she just seemed miserable. I called my husband from work and he came and escorted my cat and I to the vets office. The vet said she was just too old and i could spend thousands of dollars and spare her for maybe another year or i could just let her go to sleep peacefully. I decided i wouldn't have been much of a owner ( Mom ) if I just let her suffer. So I agreed to put her to sleep. The nurses and doctor were very nice. I told her goodbye and she put her paw on my hand. The staff did her paw prints for me after it was over and I took my old lady home. I miss her so much, everyday i look out the window at her grave. She gets flowers put on every month and they change with the season. She did have Orange and White, Now she has Red, White and Blue. I'll never forget my best friend!
